Sooo I left the CCM finally! It was a fun 6 weeks with my district! But I was ready to peace outa there!! Met the AP's,(Assistant to the President) and then had in-field training! It went by quick! Interview with president Calquin was awesome wow he is so spiritual and such an amazing man!! and Sister Calquin, is seriously sooo funny haha!! My companion is Elder Figuroa.. working on the spelling.. Just sorta kinda figures out how to say it... haha he is great! He's the District Leader! My first area is San Alberto! It's a nice place!! It's pretty much South America to a tee.  Every Friday and Saturday they have a huge party in the streets called murga ..it's music and drums and people all ages chill and jam out haha you can hear it all night! Our pench,(I can't figure this one out...so I'll ask Michelle!) aka home, is like pretty South American. haha I love it!! A nice bed, warm water to shower and stove and sink and bathroom, even has a bidet!!!!!!! love it haha!

Misionarry work is awesome!! I love talking so so many poeple and telling them that Jesus loves them!!! They are so nice!! And yes... I guess I am pretty tanned haha! Oh lunch at the mission home was sooooo good empinatas and pizza... and legit they eat so much here. Meat every meal. I've been eating pasta and milanesa basically every meal (A milanesa consists of a thin slice of beef, chicken, veal, or sometimes pork, and even eggplants or soy. Each slice is dipped into beaten eggs, seasoned with salt, and other condiments according to the cook's taste (like parsley and garlic). Each slice is then dipped in bread crumbs (or occasionally flour) and shallow-fried in oil, one at a time. Some people prefer to use very little oil and then bake them in the oven as a healthier alternative. A similar dish is the chicken parmigiana).. but it's good. We get fed a lunch on Friday so yay but other then that we fend for ourselves!! Invited a man to be baptised and he said yup, but then the next day his wife told us to leave.. but it was still so so cool!! We have a family on date next saturday!!! So excited for them! So many dogs on the street.. love it!! So many Odis dogs (our Chihuahua at home) and big dogs. They are nice.(lol so far...) haha I name them cause I see them all the time!! Its so humid, and breathing is hard for me sometimes, but thank goodness for ventolin!!!!! hahaha Love you all!!! Keep being amazing, and love everything! I ate 2 apples this week! yay fruit!!!!!! Pics will be sent tomorrow

Love, Elder Heinzlmeir

I think I forgot to mention...when I post his emails, sometimes I need to explain things or add things and I type in blue so you'll know that's me and not Elder H.!

Out of the MTC and into the field!

Dear Heinzlmeir Family,

We are excited to have received Elder Heinzlmeir here in the Argentina Buenos Aires South Mission. We can feel the great enthusiasm and joy that your son radiates. Starting this coming Monday you will hear from your son by way of email. We are sincerely grateful for the support that you will be able to provide him throughout his missionary service through uplifting and inspiring words given weekly. It will be a wonderful experience to observe the progress of your son, in the Gospel and as a servant of the Lord.

We are committed to help and work with your son in this marvelous missionary effort. We convey our deepest gratitude and appreciation for sharing your son with our mission.

We have attached the pictures of the arrival of Elder Heinzlmeir to our Mission together with President and Sister Calquin and his trainer. His trainer will be Elder Figuero, and together they will serve in San Alberto in the Aldo Bonzi stake.

We pray that Gods choicest blessings may be with you and your family.

Sincerely,

President and Sister Calquin

Football for days...and an awesome District!

Hey my lovely momma!!!!!! It's been a great week!  I'm getting into crossfit and I've been doing killer workouts!  I leave here Tuesday!!!!!

AHH SO HAPPY AND EXCITED!!! Since this is in my mission already, my mission president is picking up all of us missionaries right from here!! Cant wait to leave! And yes, football for days (I asked him if he plays a lot of soccer)  hahahaha.I'm actually really good. I'm basically a white gringo Argentinian legend.(Oh he's so humble!) The latinos freak out when I score--its funny haha! Only sprained my ankle once this week haha!! Spanish is hard... it comes out French... and I don't know French anymore... but I also don't know Spanish, cause it's French... bleh it's hard haha!

I have to get another haircut, because apparently my president likes clean cuts... so it shall be done. Obedience brings blessings so I'm on it because I like those blessings!! And I don't know when my next pday will be so I guess just watch for an email from me!!!!!!!!!

I picked a soccer team to be my team... they are called Racing. I get made fun of and chastised 2/47 because of it haha.. They say PECHO FRIO!!!! It's like team talk, and it's like saying "oh you're so scared to play us" kinda thing. But if you say that outside to strangers, you'll get beat up... so i'ts for friends, only jajaja. I'm going to start laughing like that just so you know jajajaja.

My district is awesome. They put up with my craziness... but they still love me. My teachers are awesome. I love them so much!! I've realized that being out here is going to fly by and I cant wait to hug my momma again>
Tell Dane happy baptism!!!!!!

GTG!!! but I'll email you as soon as I get another pday again okay!!!!! I'll have sufficient time to write more about my adventure!!!

I love you so much mammacita!
Love familia dos!!!!

Talk to you soon!!

McDonald's to the rescue!

This week was awesome. beautiful actually!!! I got to shake hands with Elder Stevenson!!!! His wife looked at my name tag and laughed and said, "good luck" hahahaha!!! He spoke, about missionary work and how our call is divine from God, and that we have incredible purpose! Study Acts 10. Labour finding your Cornelius!!!! This week really helped me figure out what kind of missionary I want to be.  And soooooo I guess you can expect some greater things from me.  So I'm so thankful I had opportunities this week, to humble myself!

Our IPs are going GREAT!! Teaching in Spanish is difficult hahahaha but its fun!!! Im sooooooo excited to leave the CCM though.... hahaha I can't wait to meet my ward and mission pres!!! I think of you guys everyday. All the latinos go crazy when they see our family pic hahahahaha. You mean everything to me mamma.  I got the letter dad sent with everything from the fam, and that hit me hard. That made me realize how grateful I am for you and dad and my family. You inspire me to be a great missionary and to serve until I have holes in my shoes (I'll explain later). But thank you!

Proselyting was fun!! HAD MCDONALD'S!!!! It was awesome hahaha!!! Also gave a musical number in church which was super super cool!!

Anyways, I love you mom. and I love dad and everyone else too!! Almost out of here and I can get to work!!!!!!

I'm working hard, and not giving up!

Love you tons

Rules, gunshots, horses and of course...Cocoa Puffs

Spanish is really difficult cause FRENCH does not help hahahahaha my Spanish is now French and my French is now Spanish... so when I get into the field, you should send me some French stuff to study so I don't lose it!!! Man rules are hard.. but I'm trying to be as obedient!.

The new batch of latinos and North Americans come in now, so that will be fun!!!! 3 more weeks and then I can write longer emails!!!!! (they only have so much time for emails in the MTC and when they get out in the field, they usually have more time).

I'm on bowl 50 of my 100 bowls of cocoa puffs before I leave!! I got a haircut.... hahahaha I don't like it!!!

We went proselyting and we weren't in the ghetto this time. No gunshots. (...this gives his mother a lot of comfort...lol) but I still managed to see another horse. (He didn't elaborate on this...hmmm..) haha  We met this one girl, she didn't believe in God but felt him and as I was able to teach her some things, but it was basically like "Let me help you by getting some missionaries who actually speak Spanish to teach you more!"  She was receptive! It kinda helped that she spoke some English.... but still it was pretty cool!

The temple is beautiful!!! Like it really is!!!! I'm sending pics, which might explain some your questions!!! I love Odis mom. (Our Chihuahua)  please tell him and give him a treat for me hahaha and give yourself a kiss on the cheek!!  I can teach a lesson in broken Spanish. That's progress. There are lots of fun words to say! I'm excited to leave the CCM and get out there to teach and serve!

Love you all!

So here are some snippets of his email...

"I play football with the latinos and they said I'm a good Gringo.  Soooo, Elder King Lewy has a challenge...100 bowls of cocoa puffs before I leave the MTC!  I think I'm at 30 already!  I'll have pictures!!!  3 bowls a day!!! We went into the city to do some visa stuff and it is beautiful!!"

"The teachers are awesome here  hahahahah they love me...they are so nice and very helpful.  It's 15 hours of Spanish a day...and staying at a desk is KILLING MEEEEE hahahaha and it's hard.  We have IPs which are mock lessons with investigators and they are all Spanish so we have to tach them in broken Spanish!  This Saturday we are going proselyting (finding and teaching people in the community) ahhhhh I'm so anxious for that!"

Short but sweet!  He's alive, he is learning...and, he has Cocoa Puffs.

When Lewy left, it was super emotional, and the kids decided to write to him immediately.  These letters were totally worth posting...on the blog and in the mail!

I cleaned his room the next day and took down his Post-it wall...but took these pics first because it made me smile.  He has such a desire to do good in this world.  This was his daily reminder of all things good, and who he wants to become.

For those wanting to write to Elder H. my mail, here is the address:

Elder Lewis M. Heinzlmeir
Argentina Buenos Aires South Mission

Autopista Ricchieri y Puente 13
1778 Ciudad Evita, Partido De LaMatanz

We have been given specific instructions that absolutely NO packages are to be sent to him.  Any package sent will be returned or destroyed.  I guess it's a problem...they go missing or are looted. Therefore, only envelope mail is acceptable.  They recommend us depositing money in his account for him to purchase things instead of us sending gifts.  This is a hard concept for the mom, but the best solution.  Thanks again for all your prayers and love!
